One of the key issues facing the downtown core is traffic congestion, "grid lock" and increasing pollution. As various civic groups and organizations work to address this problem, I have decided that there is something that we can do that will provide part of the solution while imporving service to our customers. We are going GREEN.
As of Nov 1, 2006, we hope 98% of all packages we delivere in the downtown core of Toronto will be delivered by the Green Team, using bicycle couriers, walking couriers, and Metro Pass TTC couriers. Packages arriving from outside the ''Core" will be transferred to the Green Team at the outer edge of the Green Team service area. By 2010 we will be using hybrid & other green delivery vehicles in GTA.
